Hazel Wood Ogham Talisman Pendant -Hand Carved
Ogham is an ancient Irish writing system and one of the earliest records of written Irish communication.
A series of symbols, the Ogham consisting of 20 letters, some named after various trees, plants and other concepts, each letter represented by a series of one to five vertical or diagonal lines.
Some of the letters translate directly from tree names and hold particular symbolism, such as the Hazel Tree in my photos.
In modern times, the ancient Ogham can help us to explore history, a connection with Irish traditions and nature, our own spiritual practice and personal growth.
